Castlight appoints Kevin Allen to head Product Deployment Team

Castlight Financial, the Glasgow-based financial capability company, has recruited credit risk expert Kevin Allen as Credit & Risk Product Manager. In this role he will be responsible for managing the products deployment team as they work with some of the UK’s largest banks to deliver affordability solutions and help them prepare for the regulation and opportunities of open banking early next year.

Kevin has 20 years of experience across the credit and fraud risk industry with positions most recently as Head of Retail Lending at peer-to-peer lending companies RateSetter and The Money Platform. Earlier in his career he held senior credit and fraud management positions with PwC, Goldfish, Lloyds TSB and MasterCard.

Phil Grady, Castlight Financial’s founder and CEO says:

“Kevin is joining us at an exciting time of growth and innovation and we are delighted to have the opportunity to harness Kevin’s considerable expertise and fiercely analytical mind as we continue to deliver our innovative affordability platform across the UK banking industry.”

Says Kevin:

“Throughout my career, I have been committed to implementing strategies and business practices, designed to ensure that customers who borrow have the ability and intention to repay. Castlight Financial’s Affordability Passport® technology allows customers to share up-to-the-minute transactional data with their lender, empowers them to understand and own that data and enables them to analyse their spending behaviour. This provides access to unprecedented affordability analysis, allowing both parties to make appropriate decisions. This is the future of financial capability and, as the landscape changes at breakneck speed and Castlight continues to anticipate and shape its course, I am very excited to be on board.”
